Wine box planter made using the branded panel of the shipping crate. Brunello di Montalcino is considered one of the greatest wines of the World. Brunello is only produced in the vineyards surrounding the hill town of Montalcino located about 120 km south of Florence in the Tuscany wine region. Brunello, roughly translated as "small dark one" in the local dialect, It is the official name of the clone of Sangiovese grown in the Montalcino region. In 1980, the Brunello di Montalcino was awarded the first Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita (DOCG). DOCG is at the top of the Quality Pyramid of Italian wines. Brunello always must be 100% Sangiovese.
The planter box was made from 1/4 plywood. All panels were finished with Valspar Stain & Sealer. Project finished with miniature decorative drawer pulls and corner hardware. Panels are sourced from a supplier in New Jersey and shipped to Arizona. Every planter is handmade in my garage; every planter is unique.
